A member asked:

Can i drink alcohol while taking keflex?

Not a good idea: While not a direct interaction with the keflex, alcohol will slow the healing process. An antibiotic is taken to hold a "bug" (micro-organism) in check while your body's defenses can fight it off. Alcohol supresses your body's defenses- so therefore the healing is slowed and you may not acheive total eradication of the bug!

Yes: You can drink alcohol while taking Keflex but do it in moderation at most. If you have a significant infection it would be best to abstain until its better.

No interaction but: Alcohol and Keflex are fine together but drink in moderation as alcohol can interfere with your ability to fight an infection.
