A member asked:

Can anyone help me to explain what is thrombocytopenia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Low platelets: It literally means a low number of platelets - lower than the "average, healthy" person. There are many reasons for that - sometimes if it is minor, it is of no consequence. See your doctor to discuss it.
