Is it safe to eat nuts during pregnancy?

Yes: There are some studies that find that daily consumption of large amounts of nuts may increase childhood food allergies or asthma, but there is no increase in risk with moderate intake of nuts. They are also a good non-meat source of protein and heart-healthy fats for pregnant moms. So go ahead and have nuts if you would like, but don't have them for every meal every day.

Yes in newer data: In 2008 some data suggested heavy nut diet in pregnancy might increase childhood asthma in those under 8 years but large danish study contradicted this information.Pregnant moms who ate peanuts regularly had children with 21-34 % reduced rate asthma compared with kids whose mom's had eaten no nuts during pregnancy. Interesting, eh? Eat nuts! less asthma says newest research.
