Very effective: If the frenum is the problem, the procedure can work extremely well for increasing range of motion. The procedure tends to be fairly short and the results are almost immediate.

Typically very: The frenectomy can be very helpful. If your child has a "posterior" tongue tie, one that is deeper in the tissue, you may need a pediatric ENT to reclip, however, as this is a trickier problem to treat. Also, your baby may need oromotor therapy (tongue physical therapy) with a speech therapist or lactation consultant if not improved after the procedure.
