Septoplasty Recovery: Generally, one feels fine (other than a stuffy nose) after 2-3 days. About the end of the first week, breathing improves to the way it was before surgery. As internal swelling continues to resolve, breathing improves over the next 2-3 weeks. Strenous activity must be avoided for the first 10 days after surgery.

Few days: If you are undergoing a septoplasty alone you should be recovered within several days. It is unlikely that you will have bruising under your eyes if a septoplasty is the sole procedure. You might experience congestion but you should be able to return to work/ social activities within a few days.

Septoplasty: most people need a week off to recover. Have your nose evaluated by a board certified otolaryngologist and discuss this issue with your surgeon.
