A member asked:

Does having a ruptured disk make someone's upper body look slanted?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes it is called : A sciatic shift or it can cause a spasmodic scoliosis. The sciatic shift is when the hips go one way to the side and the back goes the other way. Muscle spasms caused by a disc herniation can cause a scoliosis that corrects as the painful spasms resolve.
