6 to 8 weeks: For bone to heal depending on circulatory status, stability of fracture site. Also area of fracture, type of injury and amount of soft tissue damage are factors. Normally 2 to 3 months to get back to activity. Sometimes physical therapy is necessary after bone heals sufficiently.
