Arthroscopic surgery: For the most part, PCL reconstruction is carried out arthroscopically. The procedure typically takes about 90 minutes and most patients can go home the same day. Postoperatively, physical therapy is required for approximately 6-8 weeks. Return to sports can happen typically after 6 months.

A tendon graft: Either some of your own, or donor tendon is placed into arthroscopic tunnels inside your knee to replace the original pcl.

I had a PCL repair about 4 yrs ago. All's been good, but I recently experienced pain from PCL looseness. Dr. told me PT should alleviate much of the looseness/pain (my affected quad is 30% smaller). Is this true? Should I now be concerned longterm?
I had meniscus repair surgery and pcl repair surgery on my right knee (2 different surgeries) I am 2 years out from them and I continue to have severe knee pain and some instability. Is this normal or should I go back to the Dr?
