Many possibilities: Many things can cause a red bumpy rash, including a virus, a medication, or an allergic reaction to something you applied to your skin (or a detergent or fabric softener, or something you ate or inhaled). If over-the-counter Hydrocortisone cream does not help, you'll need to see a dermatologist to get a precise diagnosis.
