Normal Variation: Epicanthal folds are a normal varient.No it was not inherited from the brother.The genetics are apparently in the family gene pool.

Epicanthal Meaning: By itself an epicanthal fold does not mean downs syndrome in most cases. An epicanthal fold refers to skin fold from your upper eyelid that covers part of the inside corner of your eye. It is most common in asians.
