No.: Chronic hematuria does not cause pain per say. But if you have interstitial cystitis, which can cause hematuria, you have pain from cystitis. Several other diagnoses will do this. However, concentrated urine is more liikely to cause a bladder mucosa sensitized by some other process to cause discomfort.

Concentrated urine: Dehydration means that your urine will be very concentrated, either acid or alkaline. Would suggest you maintain adequate hydration to dilute your urine to non-symptomatic levels. Also discuss with the nephrologist, who should be monitoring your hematuria, for appropriate substance to ingest to convert your urine ph to or close to neutral. Good luck.
