Safe!: Calamine lotion it is safe in children as long as it is applied topically. Apply 1-4 times/day as needed; reapply after bathing. Should not applied over open wounds.

I never use it: I find it very drying and it's odor quite bad.I never recommend it to anyone for anything. There are dozens of good ones out there like gold bond intensive care.
