Will not affect them: Betnovate cream/ointment used carefully may reduce any active inflammation (redness), but won't improve the scarring. If the scars are raised or red, try any silicone-based scar gel. Or consider fractionated or ablative laser resurfacing (my preference is sciton profractional xc).
