Can be Harmful: Squinting the eyes generally is a means of temporarily shifting the curvature of the corneas often to give more correction for myopia (nearsightedness). Repeated squinting can contribute to headaches and "eye strain" as well as causing more permanent shifts in the cornea such as astigmatism. So either avoid the squinting or see your eye doctor for better options!

No: Squinting changes optics of the eye transiently, but does not cause permanent change. Squinting may be a sign that there is a more significant problem that needs to be addressed. Get your eyes checked out.
