Better not to!: You should let the inflammation subside to the p[oint the pain is gone. You can increase joint damage if it is present. Plus, why would you want to, since pain would increase. I am aspeaking for activities that would put stress on your inflammed joint(s). If your toe is involved, no harm from upper extremity excercise. This is a common sense answer!
