Is it safe to drink alcohol after having my wisdom teeth taken out?

No it is not: Recommended. Smoking and alcohol consumption are not recommended for 24-48 hours post-extraction. Not worth taking the risk - dry sockets are no fun!

Wait a week: Alcohol does not mix well with narcotic pain medications. If you had your teeth out under i.V sedation those medications are still in your system and also react with alcohol. Alcohol also thins the blood and can make you more prone to bleeding and dry socket. Just avoid it for a week, it's not worth it!
