A member asked:

Is it possible for a deviated septum to affect how the mucus drains out of the nose?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes not directly: Mucus flow will depend on several factors but with severe septal deflection may contribute to nasal airway obstruction, sinusitis and thickening of the mucus.
