See below: Do not use contacts again until an eye doctor examines you and clears you to do so. Otherwise you risk a recurrent corneal abrasion (scratch) or corneal infection.

Couple days: Probably safest to wait about 48 hours after a corneal abrasion has fully healed before resuming contact lenses. It is possible to reopen the epithelial (surface) defect if the area is disturbed too soon.
