Will a corn eventually resolve on its own?

Corn may not resolve: A callus is thickened skin on the surface, where there is repeated pressure or friction. If the pressure or friction is stopped or lessened, the the skin will thin and soften towards normal over time. A corn is a bigger lump of dead skin material (where a part of the callus got really thick), so a corn causes its own pressure into the foot, maybe preventing itself from resolving over time.
