Education: Many times just educating someone will help them decide to go to the doctors. I would also ask why she didn't want to go and sometimes you can ease her fears after you learn why she doesn't want to go.

Untreated HBP: It is difficult to have people go to a physician if they feel nothing is wrong with them. Education is the key to get your mom to see a physician. Hbp is not called a "silent killer" for nothing. Untreated, it leads to strokes, kidney and heart failure. Most BP medicines do not have serious side effects and have no adverse effects on patients. Try to modify any risk factors such as obesity.
