How to warts on the foot spread?

Contact: The warts spread by contact, friction sweating along the surface of the skin. Early treatemt is preferred because extensive warts are much harder to treat.

Direct contact: Usually via direct contact, although it is actually quite infrequent to see 2 members of the same family get them in short proximity to each other. I think there are other mechanisms for spread involved.
