3-4 month: I assume you talking about surgical correction.
If you are talking about non surgical correction some times it takes years with bracing.

Does it hurt?: Bow legs vary in cause (idiopathic, rickets, etc) severity, and symptoms. If significant and symptommatic, corrective osteotomies performed by an orthopaedic surgeon can be considered. Recovery time varies with severity, technique, etc. Ask your surgeon for details.
