Can check with Dr.: Sensations of head spinning, for no obvious reason, can be from small changes in the balance organs (inner ears, inside the head). One can see a primary care or an ENT doctor to check if there is a reason this happens. Be sure to write down the symptoms on a big calendar for the dr. (when it happens, how long it lasts, what activity/motions makes it worse, what foods/meds are being taken, etc...).

Inner ear problem: True vertigo, a spinning sensation, usually has something to do with the inner ear (vestibular system). Other causes can be something involving the brain, drug side effects, systemic issue (like high blood pressure) or metabolic disorders (thyroid, electrolyte imbalance , etc) another common disorder is bppv(benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) caused by loose calcium crystals in the inner ear.
