N.L.D.: There is a rash of the lower extremities associated with diabetes, known by the formidable name of necrobiosis lipoidica diabeticorum. It is not dangerous, but difficult to treat. Other rashes occur on the legs that may or may not be related to your diabetes. You really should see a dermatologist to get a precise diagnosis and a treatment program.

Many possibilities: There are many types and causes of skin rashes. Several types of inflammatory conditions of the skin, allergic reactions, and sometimes bacterial, viral or fungal infections can cause rashes on the skin. Insect bites can also be the cause of a rash on the skin. Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.
