See below: Omeprazole is stronger acid inhibitor than ranitidine, but if gerd symptoms have improved significantly, can try the zantac. Suggest use 300 mg dose, however; if symptoms recur on that dose, return to Omeprazole & consult with doc for re-evaluation & options.
