It depends...: Even if there is residual kidney function left after transplant failure, the nephrologist will look at other clinical and lab factors like patient symptoms, blood pressure/volume, phosphate, nutritional status, etc to determine dialysis frequency. Urine output is just one part of this complex decision making process. And finally, the urine's "quality" matters as much as its quantity!
