Shoes, lotion. : Wear closed-back shoes (no sandals, flip-flops, or clogs), and apply a thick lotion to your heels every night. If the cracks ever develop into fissures (full thickness cracks through the skin), you should see your doctor to work out a wound care regimen. Some people even need prescription lotion!
