Most often YES: There is always an exception to every rule. Discuss your options with your dentist. Statistically you will be better off with having one done if its a back tooth following a rct.

Yes: It is recommended to place a crown after a root canal. If you choose to ignore this recommendation you will likely break the tooth and need it removed.
