Myelitis: Cannot define the symptoms as outlined: i suspect its incorrect spelling. Pls recheck the diagnosis. Suspect you are referring to transverse myelitis. This is a paralysis, complete are partial, from the chest line or upper abdomen on down. Causes - varried, but most commonly: neruologic (as in ms), vascular (blocked vertebral artery) or immunologic (can occur in lupus and aps a clotting disorder).
