Maybe: Before you go through chemo or radiation, it's a great idea to make sure that your teeth and gums are in good shape. Any teeth that are in poor shape or at risk of infection should be treated or removed. Sometimes your cancer treatments can make your teeth complicated to treat after the fact. The last thing you need while you are fighting your cancer is to get a toothache or a gum infection!
