Scabies?: Are you or anyone else he has contact with (including babysitters) also itching? If so, it could be scabies, a mite infestation that requires treatment. If not, it could be a viral infection or an allergy or several less common things. Only a dermatologist, looking at the rash in person, can give you a precise diagnosis.
