Yes: If you're not trying to conceive and you don't want to be pregnant, you can take post-coital birth control - the "morning after pill" within 3 days after having intercourse, but it works better the sooner you take it. These types of birth control can be up to 89-95% effective. You should not rely on this as your only birth control method - see your OB or family dr or planned parenthood for options.
