Wrong treatment: It may be that either your partner's test was wrong and he reinfected you or your infection was resistant to treatment. You should both be seen together by a doctor, tested, and if need treated together. And, next time protect yourself by insisting on condom use.

Is this correct? Syphilis only transmissable after chancre appears. Test will be positive 1-2 weeks after chancre. If partner tested neg 5 weeks after we hooked up then I'm fine as her test would be +ve by this point if she had it & was contagious?
