A member asked:

What are some substitutes for pain control if i have an allergic reaction to vicodin?

Options: Vicodin is hydrocodone/acetaminophen(tylenol) and so your reaction is possibly due to the hydrocodone component (assuming you have taken tylenol without concerns). Also, you will need to define what you consider "allergic reaction" as many reactions are side effects. If you have already tried some nsaids like naproxen, mobic, (meloxicam) voltaren, etc then i would consider tylenol 3 or Percocet as options.

Many options: First is it a true allergy or was it just nausea or itching (not allergy). You can try morphine, oxycodone, oxymorphone, methadone.
