Many possibilities: Trauma (physical injury) including but not limited to foreign body, puncture, and/or laceration/abrasion. Infection/inflammation eg conjunctivitis, scleritis, iritis, periorbital or preseptal cellulitis vs orbital cellulitis. Narrow (closed) angle glaucoma. And more. Go see your optometrist & ophthalmologist regarding your concerns.
