Why do your ears ring when you bite down too hard?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tinnitus Biting: Tinnitus is a subjective sound heard in the head and may have many causes and associations. One common association is biting down hard. This is due to muscle tension with feedback from the temporomandibular joint. This is noting to worry about. If the sound becomes troublesome, go see you dentist to have a bite block made.
