Yes: Most dental anesthetic has a very small amount of Epinephrine (adrenaline) added to help the numbness be more profound and last long enough for the procedure. Epinephrine works to keep the numbing agent in the area longer instead of being carried away in the bloodstream. Some people can be sensitive to the Epinephrine but it is a very temporary side effect lasting only a short time.
