50-90%: The success rate is quite variable depending on the study you are looking at. Some studies have good to excellent results in 90% of patients, but the percentage of patients that return to the same level of sports or activity is sometimes as low as 50%. Preparing involves mostly restoring quad muscle function and range of motion. Strengthening the knee before surgery will improve the outcome.
