See below: I think you mean asthma or reactive airway disease. It is hard to tell how long she will need to be on medications. A lot of children will outgrow the problem. However, time will tell.

Asthma goes away: Many cases of asthma remit with adulthood, depending on the cause. She will need to take medication as long as her bronchial tubes continue being reactive and narrowing.
