Possible infection: Bugs sometimes introduce bacteria into the skin when they bite you. You may have a small localized infection. If it has persisted for 3 months, you should see your doctor or a dermatologist and find out exactly what it is.

Could be scar: Tissue from the infection or a swollen lymph node that never shrunk back down. Since it has been 3 months and it is still present you may benefit from an u/s or ct scan.
