It does: If the birth control is condom, nuvaring, depo-provera, or iud, no problem. Otherwise, there may be a risk of contraceptive ineffectiveness and a backup contraceptive method should be used. Wait until the next cycle of bc before returning to prior sexual practices, use backup until then.
