A week or so: Depending on the type of wound, moist or dry, oily skin or not, dermabond usually will fall off in a few days to longer than a week. Don't pick at it or pull it off; it's part of the wound strength until your own body's healing develops some tensile strength and ability to withstand stretch and movement.

Depends on location: In areas of high mobility or oily skin, dermabond may not last more than 3 days and therefore intend to avoid it in these locations. I prefer to keep this on for about 10 days in most cases. This can be more easily removed with an oil based product such as petrolatum jelly.

About 2 weeks: Dermabond is a type of skin glue used to seal an incision without the need for external sutures. Usually, internal dissolving sutures are used along with the Dermabond on the surface. You will be able to wet the skin gently within about 2-5 days after surgery depending on your surgeon's instructions. You should avoid excessive water or swimming and leave the glue in place as long as it lasts.
