How do you treat re-occurrence of anal cancer/ hepatomegaly with metastasis?

Complicated: Hopefully you are in a cancer center with multiple specialists. Chemotherapy may be directed toward the liver metastases. I am assuming that the original treatment was chemoradiation for the local tumor. If so, removal of the anus and rectum may be done if there is very limited metastatic disease, but is not usually recommended. Sometimes a colostomy alone can help with symptoms.
