How do you treat sprained hands and wrists?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Splints & nSAID's: The best treatment is to prevent further inflammation by resting and immobilizing the injured extremity, followed by reducing the inflammation with oral medications and ice. Sometimes therapy or injections are needed to treat more severe injuries. See a board certified orthopaedic hand surgeon for evaluation and treatment.
