A member asked:

I have diabetes insipidus and stopped taking my medication for nearly two years, does it cause fluid retention by not taking the medication ?

No: It actually causes dehydration. Diabetes insipidus is a lack of antidiuretic hormone. With a lack of adh, (vasopressin) you will urinate large amounts of very dilute urine. As long as you drink enough water it's possible to avoid taking medication. You should see your doctor and have some blood tests done.
