Yes: Any chronic type infection can cause a disruption of your immune system, and can make lab test positive that are not often clinically relevant. For example, the rheumatoid factor does not mean that you hae rheumatoid arthritis especially if there is little clinical suspicion (this can be determined by your rheumatologist).
