No: Stopping exercising is not a reason to have your period come late. What is a very common reason is stress. Are you trying out for club season? Have you been stressed out about that? Are you stressed about school or friends? Could you be pregnant? If you're not pregnant, then try not to worry. You're period will start soon, most likely.
