If a 2 year old fell and seemed to black out very briefly and you chose not to have a ct scan, how long until you feel like she is "out of the woods?"

See below: If your child is acting normally, and had a normal exam, there is no reason to do a ct scan. Ct scans are over used. After 24 hours of observation, there is no longer any concern.

Careful: Not out of the woods until the child had undergone an evaluation by a physician. Head trauma sometimes can have lasting side-effects for years, e.g. Chronic headaches or even seizures. Time isn't the only factor to take into consideration.
