Lack OS stereopsis: When the brain does not learn to fuse images of the two eyes together (by age 2), then the brain uses the images of the eyes one at a time. Even though both eyes work fine, the brain either sees from one or the other. The only item that keeps both eyes aligned is the brain that drives both eyes to fuse their image. When such does not happen, the other eye may drift off on its own. Not abnormal.
