There : There are multiple conditions that could cause swelling, such as a lipoma (benign fatty tissue) or a synovial cyst (a cyst from the knee joint), or other causes. If a patient started having pain in the area or increased swelling then seeing their primary care doctor for an evaluation would be reasonable.

Most likely you have: pulled or sprained the calf muscles which are normally going across the knee joint. With Stretching & strengthening exercises, they should improve over next 3-4 weeks, and less painful as they improve. Good luck.
